What are Waxed Amaryllis Bulbs?

Waxed amaryllis bulbs are a ready-to-grow gift item that requires no water, no soil, and no additional care to produce beautiful blooms! Each bulb contains all the moisture and energy needed for flowering, sealed in by a decorative wax coating. Simply place the bulb on a flat surface and enjoy blooms within weeks.

We proudly offer the original No Water Flowers® brand from Greencre8 in Holland. This innovative Dutch company pioneered the waxed bulb trend and continues to lead the category with distinctive finishes and elevated designs that set the standard worldwide.

Once displayed at room temperature, bulbs naturally break dormancy and produce at least two tall stems topped with dramatic flowers. The growth process itself becomes part of the customer experience, making them both a botanical curiosity and a refined seasonal gift.

Seasonal Availability

Waxed amaryllis bulbs are imported from Holland and arrive at our facility once per season, typically in mid-October. Because of this limited seasonal delivery, waxed amaryllis is available by pre-order only.

Wholesale orders are accepted from January 1 through July 15. After the ordering window closes, no additional orders can be added for that season.

Orders ship throughout the fall and holiday season.

Product Care & Storage

No special storage equipment is required.

Waxed amaryllis bulbs are designed for easy retail display and do not require watering or refrigeration. However, they do have a limited shelf life, and proper handling will help maximize sell-through.

General shelf-life estimate: Approximately 3–4 weeks under normal room conditions.

If bulbs are expected to sell within that timeframe, standard retail display at average room temperature (around 70°F) is ideal.

If bulbs may require a longer sell-through window, store backstock in a cool, dark location and replenish the sales floor inventory as needed. Lower temperatures will slow growth and help prevent bulbs from advancing too quickly before sale.

Important: Do not store bulbs in floral coolers, which are too cold and humid and can negatively impact bulb quality
